there was no doubt in my mind that HSH's post was in no way a bolt from the blue. You could tell it had been festering for awhile - of course that contention is backed up by your email conversations with him.

His rant was, in a word, gutless. It's extreme of me to compare the situation to a marriage, but look at it this way - what kind of husband would I be if I used occasions of my wife's greatest vulnerability to get back at her for an earlier perceived slight or gripe?

I do give him credit for one thing though. He set a trap for Bg by talking about liberals and taking responsibility knowing that Bg would walk right into it. Looking back, the only purpose of that post was to set Bg up for the kill.
