it's a hoot. Our guide spoke in vivid and gushing terms about the Scots' courageous and clever fighting in a number of battles. Of course, each glorious story inevitably concluded with lines such as "...before they surrendered" or "...they were forced to retreat." or "...before the enemy's sheer numbers overwhelmed them..."

I would bet that chamberlain might enjoy the fringe festival in late August. My wife and I really enjoyed that when we went during the summer of '91. Getting a room was a stretch but once that was settled, money wasn't too much of an issue. There were plenty of free things going on all around.
