will quite be up for a row...especially in November! The park is truly a blast to wander around in...I used to spend quite a bit of time in NYC after college. A lot of my friends from school ended up there (including the guy getting married) and I dated a couple of women in NYC and visited them too. While there's quite a bit of tourist stuff to do...just enjoying the park and the neighborhoods is a blast. One woman I dated lived several blocks east of Central Park and we'd rollerblade over to the park and around quite a bit of it. Plus, despite the extreme size of the city there is quite a neighborhood feel to the different sections.

On this trip we're going to be limited in time due to the wedding (plus I'm the best man) and it's our kids' first trip to NYC. In terms of hitting the highlights, the Empire State for a view of the city is a must...Andrew will be shellshocked at the size...he thinks my office building is "big" at 9 stories.

Just walking around the park...checking out a playground and the boathouse area...will be fun. The zoo looks pretty good too...are you generally opposed to the idea of a zoo or was it kinda skeezy? It used to be a concrete cage mess, but I understood that they completely redid the zoo in the late 80s.

We may even do the ultimate tourist bit in the park and take a carriage ride with the kids....never done that before.

Also...Andrew likes dinosaurs...so the Natural History Museum on the west side of the park may be in the mix.
