... and he made it sound like that's the only thing he ever plays as white. i'm a confirmed flank player from both sides of the board, favoring Sheveningen Sicilian or Dragon against 1 e4, and King's Indian or Averbakh vs 1 d4. the first time i ever saw the word "hypermodern" i knew that's what i wanted to be and Nimzovich is easily my all-time favorite GM. turns out that was my natural style of play already before i ever started really studying the game enough to know any different.
