Subject: Good to hear! 1st day of school on our end too...

although Andrew is only starting with his first day of preschool. Hopefully he'll enjoy it and manage not to bop any of his new friends over the head! The school is literally across the street from our neighborhood, so it's very convenient. He'll be there from 9 to 1:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Cute school story already for you:

Until a few weeks ago Andrew was conflicted over going to school...sometimes he'd be okay with it and other times he got upset and said he didn't want to go.

Well, Laura and Andrew drove over to the school to drop off the final paperwork and as they pulled in to the parking lot, Andrew started sobbing.

"Andrew, what's wrong? We're just dropping off your school papers?"

"Mommy, I don't want to go to school! I want to live with you and daddy!"

Laura explained to him that he WAS going to live with us.

"But Whitney had to go away to school!"

Laura then had to explain that Whitney, Andrew's favorite baby sitter, was going away to COLLEGE...and that until he went to college in another 15 years...he would be living with us.

The poor kid was all stressed out for weeks thinking that we were packing him off to live at school...just like Whitney. The kid kept a stiff upper lip though...the poor guy never mentioned why he was afraid until he thought he might be getting dropped off!

Needless to say...Andrew has been much more excited about school since then!
