We gave the writer, Noga a lead on a great story complete with names, dates, etc. about how Gutierrez gave a diversion to a drunk driver who broke a motorist's neck. This was the drunk's 3rd DUI by the way.

The Morning Sun - rag that it is - refused to touch the story even though we gave them everything they needed. The local CBS affiliate did run it on the 10 PM news though, but of course it was a one shot deal. Gutierrez' eyes were going back and forth like one of those "Tricky Dicky" watches from the 70s.

During the debate Gutierrez claimed he'd known all about that case for weeks, then on tv he said he'd just found out about it. The Morning Sun's editor, Matthew Clark was there for the whole thing and didn't bother to report a word when we broke the story at the debate or when Gutierrez obviously lied. Does it surprise you to hear that the Morning Sun endorsed Gutierrez over Steve?

Another funny thing. We were the folks who set the agenda talking about having the worst meth lab incident rate and worst domestic violence death rate in Kansas while Gutierrez bragged about coming in 26% under budget and collecting bad checks. Ah well, whine bitch and complain. I'm sure the slime job he ran on Steve was the difference. My stomach churned when I read that ad...
