I actually did think of you but wasn't exactly sure where you were. Of course it was also 10:30 at night by the time I got there, in the lovely sleet storm you had Saturday night. We drove to Montpelier so we could grab a bite before heading back in our respective directions. The only thing open was a McDonald's drive-thru, so we ate in our cars with the windows down, heat blasting and yelling back and forth. It was a blast.

Flyer was a stray who came and adopted us just before another cat we had (another adopted stray, Jinx) passed on. They were both all black cats. Hippie said Flyer came because Jinx was going to have to go away. I too thought Flyer was a fated pairing and it's a large part of the unbearable sadness that surrounds her passing.

Oddly coincidental, these cat stories.
