you were like 30 minutes from my place! traitor. i'll forgive you though considering the tight schedule you were running.

i got an awesome cat over the summer. my lady friend and i discovered her while camping at hocking hills over the summer. she was abandoned, i didn't have the heart to leave her, so the girl was nice enough to let me bring the kitty home in her car.

i had the kitty i affectionately named auglaize (after my river) for a month or two before we found her laying dead on the sidewalk outside my place. no marks, no wounds, no anything as far as i could tell. clueless as to what happened with her. it was extremely sad, especially after it seemed like a fated pairing.

anyhow, several wks later a stray ended up on my doorstep. i suspect foul play in this kitty mysteriously showing up on my doorstep. all the same, i kept her and all is well. i named her 'nati after the beloved bengals. while i hate the sadness both of you must be experiencing (the loss of a pet is among the worst kind as far as i'm concerned), i appreciate you sharing simply because it's a nice reminder to not take gifts for granted.

take care of yourselves,

chamberlain
