Subject: Conference is good, I now have laryngitis and WE GOT AN OFFER ON OUR HOUSE!!!!

Ok, I'm still sick, my voice is gone and I'm afraid I'm going to have to break down and go to the Dr. as this stuipid cold or whatever the heck has invaded my body will not leave!! I've been watching conference up in my room while dusting all my poor neglected furniture and unpacking boxes from when we moved over a year ago (!) The phone rings and it is our realtor telling me that we have 3 showings scheduled for today. That's almost what we've had in 5 weeks so that is good, but she continues with " there's an agent that's already seen the house with out of state clients that and they are writing an offer! We probably won't see anything official until Monday." I squeaked out my joy and almost burst into tears on the phone! This is such a weight lifted off of us in all ways. Financially the house has killed us. We couldn't sell it and so in order not to lose our current house, we pulled it off the market and rented it out. Both of the renters were horrible and left without telling us. We've racked up close to 15K alone on our CC because somebody had to pay the mortgage when they wouldn't, not to mention repairs, upkeep, and the fact that it has sat empty since Aug 1. We will probably be lucky to sell it and not have to pay to do so as the mortgage is still high and of course lovely realtor fees. UUGH. But the emotional toll of this has been so hard as well. We built this house when we hadn't even been married a year and it symbolized all of our dream and hopes for the future. Sadly, both of my losses took place in that house and although there were many happy moments there, the sad ones always seemed to stay fresh in my mind. One of the kids rooms is still painted the blue that was to be for Little Jon's nursery. we moved not only because we'd outgrown it, but for my mental health. I needed to move on, but then I couldn't because its still been there, needing time, money. It was also hard to see it being destroyed. As much as I hated the house for what had happened there, we put so much work into it, to see people trash it was devastating.

Now our prayers have been answered and I am so grateful. I'm grateful for a Heavenly Father that hears and answers prayers and is truly there, helping us when all seems hopeless. Thank you for your prayers as well.

L.

And I know the selling of the house must seem bittersweet. It was hard to leave the house that we owned when Hannah was born - it really is like you've left a part of you behind.

But I am still excited that it just might be sold - sorry to hear about the awful tenants. We were renters for a very long time before every buying a house and we never ever did what your tenants had done. We painted shutters, doors, walls - decorated with border papers - at one house, we even did the landscaping in the front yard to make it look better!

Anyhow, I hope the offer is even more than what you are expecting and that Heavenly Father blesses you for all your patience.

J

Our realtor called again this morning and said that they are still planning on it, but the husband is in Utah and the wife somewhere else and it just hasn't fallen into place yet. We're going to have to pay antother months mortgage I'm afraid. I just hope they don't have a house to sell or we won't be able to accept the offer as we have to sell this fast! We ended up with 4 showings though on Sat so things are still looking up! I'll let you know as soon as I do!
