Subject: I had a good birthday.... anyone here do any gardening?

My birthday went well... and DH said Happy Birthday to me about 100 times... LOL

DH, Timothy and I went to Red Lobster for lunch. We shared a shrimp and lobster pasta... yum! And they gave us an extra big portion! Timothy and I made cupcakes this afternoon. DH took Glenn shopping for presents for me after she got back from school (men!). Then SIL came over with a cake after dinner.

Besides the ring from DH earlier this week, here is what I got: new grill racks, a hedge trimmer, 2 gardening shovels and some stuff to plant. I got rhubarb and strawberry plants. And then seeds for carrots, pumpkins and some flowers.

I don't know anything about gardening, and have had very poor luck with the few indoor plants I have tried. I am not real hopeful about these plants and seeds, but DD really wants to do it, so I guess I will give it a try.

Can anyone give me any hints at all? I tried looking up some info on planting the rhubarb... but it's all so confusing. I guess I will just dig a hole and see what happens. LOL
