Subject: Some basic advice......(m)

Well, I don't know anythng about rhubarb - I've never grown it. Pumpkins are easy - we once had a jack o lantern fall off our deck and we had pumpkin vines the next spring. Pumpkins are vines and will take over if you don't get them under control. You might want to get a lattice at the home store and wind them up that as they grow. As for flowers, check the back and see what it says about sun, partial sun or shade. This is important because if they are shade plants and you plant them in full sun they will fry. If they are full sun and you plant them in the shade they won't grow. If DD wants to plant, I suggest getting some big clay pots and filling them with dirt and letting her plant the flower seeds. She'll be able to 'tend' them herself, and water them. My other suggestion is to get some Miracle-Gro. Use it once a week when you water - the stuff is great.

Good Luck!

Cheryl

  • No advice since I'm not a gardener. Sounds like a wonderful day -- arglass, 15:36:56 04/18/03 Fri
