The only difference between a temporary and permanent password that I can see is that should someone on a temporary password abuse their posting rights we can lock them out by changing the password yet not effect those on a permanent password. Is that right?

I know I brough this up but since the solution is complicated and not 100% I would be happy to drop it for now and deal with it should a problem arise. Alternatively I'll just go with the flow.
