Subject: 2008 Xterras - Whats the verdict?

Ok, my 2000 Xterra is going to be 9 years old next month. Was it that long ago that I came down and got that from you Steve?? It has only 75k on it and it has held up well. Only real problem was a recent head gasket job. I figure that I can get 4-5 more years out of this vehicle without much trouble. The trouble comes as I look at all the current deals on the Xterras!

It seems very attractive to look at getting an 08 with the nissan and dealer incentives. I don't see getting a deal this good again. Soon they will adjust manufacturing and not have the surpluses that they have now. Quite different than when MSRP was a deal for the original!

I have been out of the loop a bit so what is the feeling for the new Xterras? I notice that they have quite a bit more power. Are they holding up well? Anything to look out for? Is the off-road a good deal if I can find one?
