Subject: Geared too low!

First visit -- I've got a 2004 X with a 4 cylinder, 5 speed manual - 2 wheel drive. The thing's geared way too low! It's great for getting lazy in city traffic, it never really minds what gear it's in, but on the highway - in 5th, it's @ the same rpm's as my Toyota Tacoma (4WD) in 4th…

I know, the new ones have 6 speeds... but I like the one I've got, and got it for our gravel county road. Are there larger (though I've bought some very pretty 'mag wheels' and great tires) wheels that would fit to change my ratio, or tires..? What would be involved (cost wise) in changing out its factory 5 speed to a 6..? I hate working one vehicle, so would hire anything done.

Other than the too low gearing, and lack of intermittent windshield wipers... it's living up to expectations ... though it's no Toyota...

Any suggestions appreciated!
