* New hood council *
* Food Expo *

* New hood council *
First off, I'm excited to be Simmerville's new Spokes Sim. We are all impressed with the work done by previous Spokes Sim, Mrs Eline Shalloe, and her Hood Councils. She was our leader for 30 simdays and she so much deserves to step back to enjoy her elderhood at home at 5 Dragon View.

The new Hood Council is elected for the coming 15 simdays, Age of Seasons. They are:
Stephan Gobelin (Business Advisor & Spokes Sim)
Judy V. Ballong (Show Business Advisor)
Bross Mervil (Military Advisor)
0 Gobelin (Culinary Advisor)
Cassenda S. Brybrey (Science Advisor)

There will be no new taxes for the first 5 simdays, but we might need to introduce a new tax system from simday 81.

* Food Expo *
We are delayed with our annual Food Expo program, but finally - here it is:

June - Food in the Garden:
- KiDz FaRm! Did you see the TV shows by Simmerville Studio? Kids and their parents are welcome to see all kinds of vegetables grow, help weeding and watering, and to harvest the crops! This event will start on simday 77 (medio June) and will go on until all crops are harvested.
(Gobelin family cemetery, 1 Old Simmer Lane)
- Guided tour of all the old fields cultivated by the Mervils back when Simmerville grew into a hood. Wear good shoes for walking and an umbrella in case of rain!
Your guide: Bettie Stello from Mazaloom Historical Society.

July - Food in the Kitchen:
- Lecture: "The real Johanna", by A. Grumblin
Elderly Annalica Grumblin tells the story of her father's first wife, Johanna F. Grumblin, who founded Johanna's Kitchen 3 generations ago and left our hood with a lovely restaurant that is still active. A few traditional food tasters from Johanna's personal cooking book will be served.
(Johanna's Kitchen, 1 Bendic Lane)
- Lecture: "Leftovers", by 0 Gobelin (Culinary Adv.)
Learn how to save leftovers for later, how to get them from your fridge, and tase how quality is almost as good as new!
Demo and tasters.
(Hood Administration Center, 5 Old Simmer Lane)
- Lecture: "How to benefit from fresh food", by T. Appleton
Mrs Tess Appleton explains how she benefits from fresh food grown in her own garden, and how it helps making her family happier.
(Hood Administration Center, 5 Old Simmer Lane)

August - Food on the Table:
- "What's for dinner today?", by 0 Gobelin (Culinary Adv.)
This is a project where 0 Gobelin will put together a menu for the entire week. Dishes will be commented on, and it will all be published on Simmerville web.
- "Happy Hours"
Each Simmerville restaurant will serve free food to the first 10 tables served! Max 4 per table and max 50% elders!)
Johanna's Kitchen, 1 Bendic Lane
Youth's Hangout, 1 Edmund Lane
Pasta & Pies, Listher Business Complex
Chelle's Tea House, 6 Mervil Farm

That's all for now. Let me remind you all that the Hood Administration Center at 5 Old Simmer Lane is served all weekdays 9-5. Stop by to discuss our hood. Elders, don't forget that free cake is served daily at noon!
