Here are some news from our local simday 40. If you want to react on a subject, please adjust the subject line according to the heading you react to. If not someone already did that.

We are sorry to announse the death of 5 sims today, and we are very sorry to lose each of them. 3 of them were rather well known sims, namely baby expert Mrs Ursull Swims, scietist Claire Brybrey and painting artist Chris JB. Read more about this on Simmerville's HOOD page.
*** New deal for University students ***
The hood had certain financial problems during the past period, mainly because of supporting graduates economically. We need to adjust the deal. The fee for going to University is increased to §5000 per student. When the student graduates the hood will bay back the fee + additional §2000. The student will also get maximum §16000 from the balance at Simmerville House at campus, the better results the more pay! All in all these hanges will not affect the student much, except the fee which means base household must pay §3000 more.
*** 7 Old Simmer Lane to be sold today ***
Today the old Mervil residence will be sold to one of Ol'Ed Mervil's descendants. Those who are in for it must reply to this thread with the subject: "7 Old Simmer Lane to be sold today". The price is §62.495.

Andrew's Stroll was sold to Sophelia Mervil for §10.000.
Medical Center was sold to Mathilda Swims for §10.000.
*** Business Certificate deal revised ***
The rule is about to get simplified and justified. The existimng article will be revised shortly. If you already run a local business there is one new rule that you must obey today already, or you will not have any income from your business.
On simday 41 you must pay each employee §5000. It is good for the coming 5 simdays period, and on simday 45 you will get §7500 per employee, meaning your business will bring in §2500 per employee, that is §500 per day!
In the future the hood will most likely charge business taxes, but we decided not to implement this new tax now, but rather when we have Age of Business, starting simday 46.
