With the introduction of the local university our neighborhood decided to adopt a unified time zone, so that all households age evenly and teenagers will enroll in university on the proper sim day. The unified time zone was adopted on what we estimate to be the 79th day of our neighborhood, according to family historical records. Today is the beginning of simday 82 and all is going as well as expected.

In recent days there has been one death. Local congressman Joe Carr died in his home of old age. The politician had just been promoted to judge and was practicing his acceptance speech when he passed away. He was the neighborhood's only politician. He is survived by wife, Ivy Carr, son Andrzej (Layla) Carr, daughter Rose (Ricky) Cormier, and grandchildren Suzanna and Jesse Carr. Son-in-law Ricky Cormier will be taking Carr's place on the hood council, temporarily. Kane First has been appointed the new council head.

There has been one birth, Richard Joseph Cormier. He is the son of Ricky and Rose Cormier and the grandson of Ivy and the late Joe Carr.

Two engagements have been announced. Marsha Bruenig to Ravi Harris and Em D'Sim to Dr. Benjamin Long.

The local university is thriving with a record number of students enrolled. In the last semester 6 local residents were attending university and the number isn't expected to decline significantly in the near future. Three students graduated this simday, all with honors. Congratulations to Bethany Artist, Brooke Thayer-Centowski, and Chandler Platz. Two new students, Julia Artist and Shawn D'Sim, are expected to move to university today.

One household has left the neighborhood. The Olympian family, participants in the 7 toddler challenge, have moved to neighboring hood, Amphidelphos.

Three celebrities have moved into our downtown region. Claudia Cavanaugh, Timothy Rayburn, and Nathaniel Heath Todd, stars of Arrendale Heights, have already made theirselves at home here and are generating quite a buzz.
