*** Heritage Law to be Adjusted ***
The current law is to be adjusted from simday 45. A Main Heir was to keep 75% of the heirloom, but because most households now have less values tied up to the lot (because of decay) and the Main Heir needs less money in order to keep the family goods, the 75% rate is reduced to 50%. In addition the remaining 50% will be shared equally among all Secondary Heirs.
The law is also clearer when a household splits and one of the parents recouple with a 3rd Sim. When children of a household have different parents, and other rare situation can now be dealt with more fairly as two Sims can be seen as separate cases of inheritance.
The new law will not affect inheritances proccessed on simday 44 or earlier. It will be linked from the HOOD page during simday 45.

*** University fee routine to be adjusted ***
Once again there is a change. This far the hood has charged a hosehold §5000 for sending a young adult to University. When graduating, §7000 has been paid to the graduate. Starting on simday 45 the Hood Council will no longer be involved with this. A student must bring a start capital of §5000 or more when going to college, then the student will get paid a sum from the campus house's networth, depending on grades. When a graduate returns to Simmerville, there will be no additional reward.

*** Election coming up ***
On late simday 45 there is a new election as we leave behind Age of Pleasure and head for the Age of Business. If you need a refresh of the election rules, or wonder about your Community Score, see http://www.hinsides.no/simmerville/services/hood_admin/local-info/careers.html

That's all for now, many more changes are coming up - including the new local bus station and the public wedding lot that some residents have used already, and that will cost §1000 per wedding in the future.
