To all residents of Simmerville;

It is currently day 9 of the Age of Modern Times. Tomorrow, day 10, will be a special day to most of us. The Hood Council has recently posted some info on the hood administration, including rules etc, on the HOOD section. Some adjustments will be made today, but basics are there.

Election:
We have decided to run a election of two Hood Council members + Spokes Sim every 10 simdays. The first election will take place tomorrow, and we will send a note to all residents tonight. If nobody meets the required qualifications, the current councillor will keep the position for another period. If you like to be considered, you should contact us. Only local adults can get elected.
These are to be elected on day 10:
Spokes Sim (Juliana Calentino or replacement)
Parents Rep. (BB Hanssen or replacement)
Culture & Sports (Clive Appleton or replacement)

Building restrictions:
We have decided that major residential building activity will take place only every 10th day, and tomorrow is one of those days. Any changes including more than 10 operations must be approved by the Hood Council. There are no longer charged any fee. If you like to adjust your house, add a floor or build a sundeck etc, contact us. This restriction does not affect moving to another house.

Community Rights:
We have finally come up with a list of Community Rights and what qualifications are required! A Community Right most often includes a part time job, and will be paid 200 per day. We call it Community Right because it will benefit your family as it will help raising funds. As long as requirements are met, you can pass a Community Right on to any heir as you wish, not only the heir who gets your house.
The list on the HOOD - Administration section will be modified today, but jobs and requirements will mainly not be changed. If you like to hve a Community Right you

Immigration:
It was decided that one new household will be allowed to immigrate per 1o Simdays. The Mervils at the Mervil Farm have called for a housekeeper replacement (see Fame & Career board), and it is most likely that their new housekeeper's household will move in tomorrow. We do not yet know who it will be.

Also check the family notes, updated daily!
