Hi everyone,

i have email ECG a month or so ago with all the details of this, but i thought i would post hear aswell (sorry if that is the wrong thing to do).

i have come accross unwanted horses in lancefield victoria, and i have bought 2 of them (two mares) and am interested in buying others, the problem being i can't catch them. i tried with feed and apples for 5 hours with no luck. i could get close to them and pat their head and neck but not get a rope or headstall anywhere near them. Apparently the kids next door to them have chased them swinging ropes round. if anyone has any ideas on how to catch or transport them to a new home where they will be cared for i would greatly appreciate any suggestions, please reply to this or send me an email. Susancampbell1234@hotmail.com

There are also another 10 or so horses/ponies for sale ($100 - $300 each)
None of them are educated, but I would be willing to help with that.
I have now ridden both of my mares and they have lovely paces.
All these horses will all end up going to the knackery if not sold,
As 40 or so horses were trucked of to the knackery before I knew about them.

here is a list of the horses left, All heights ages are approximate....

Bay 5 year old 14.2hh Arab mare
Chestnut 2/3 year old 14hh Arab mare
Brown 4 year old 15hh gelding (was sick but recovered)
20 year old 14.2hh bay mare (very thin)
Dun 14-15hh mare (partially blind)
Brown 8year old 14.2hh mare (mountain horse?)
Chestnut pony 11hh (very cute but cheecky)
Brown mare 11hh can easily be caught
Brown filly 9-10hh (belongs to the brown mare)
Filly and a colt who are 8 months old (cream and brown)

i think thats all........
PLEASE HELP ME HELP THESE HORSES
There is horse bones in the paddock from horses who didn’t make it…..
I live in Romsey and these horses are just out of Lancefield.
thanks for any advice...

Susan
