The non-driver did not say where he was coming from only that he wanted to get to Abertillery.

I once travelled from Abertillery to Pontypridd and the return journey, approx three hours each way on a daily basis for three years. A total of six hours, by bus and train, with conection times in between. Bus tickets are not always transferable with different bus companies therefore the cost increased. This journey could have been cut by half if the train service was available even if it had taken you only as far as Sixbells or Aberbeeg as after 5.30 from Cardiff Central the bus service often only got you that far unless you opted for a change at Newport.
