The access road was actually purchased by bgbc from the water bord it seems in the early 70s but the well still remains the property of welsh water although it is capped and burried at least it was the last time i visited Abertillery (1998)the site of the well was going to be used by Abertillery & district water board to feed a small resevoir for the growing population of the time but then the Grwyne Fawr resevoir project was started and i think finished in about 1928 so the plans for the well didnt take off, its hard to imagine a house now stands in this area its been a long time since i was last there.
