Hmmm, WWII memorial eh? It's been a while since I wandered around Aber, but I can't recall seeing one. It must exist somewhere, I just don't know where ...The Cenotaph (if I've done it right) can be found by clicking on this link though ...

  - Re: That did cross my mind it was dificult to tell from the map and I was not sure if there was a row of houses where the Cenotaf is now.     - Carolyn - I have amended my message (one of the only perks as webmaster!) since having had a second look at my 1880 and 1901 maps, the houses that were Victoria Terrace were either those on the street (where the Officers Club is) or those in the little lane that runs between Somerset St and QWueen Ste (where Harrisons the builders was) - showing my age there!       - Re: I remember the little lane and the houses, they were vry tiny only one up and one room down with a tiny stone stairs built into the wall. I do not remembr the name of them although I am sure they were not Cwm Street or Queen Street. the lower end of queen Street was built around a numbr of small terraces and the big house which is why it is so oddly numbered (NT) -- Carolyn, 16:05:34 11/03/05 Thu
