We all bleat about what 'punishment' should and shouldn't be meted out to such individuals or groups that carry out these henious acts of cowardice and violence; but.. we elect the so called governments that are afraid and unwilling to mete out punishments that fit the crime. Personally the introduction of public birching, chain gangs and hard labour would put it all into perspective. Unfortunately there are far too many 'do gooders' amongst us. Cherie Blair springs to mind, then she has 24 hour protection from all ills as do her children..
