It was a delight to read your message and it certainly sounds like the grandfather I knew. It is lovely to have something like this in writing and many thanks for it. If your brother does remember more I would be delighted to have more. When he went to stay with his son in Newport the children were delighted because he always gave them sweets the neighbours told me. The only photographs I have of him are all ones with him wearing a cap.
