A tremor of surprise rippled through her inner coil as she was addressed by name. Did she in fact know this mare? A careful review of her memory still left the femme drawing a blank. Tilting her head slightly, she scrutinized the features of her 'old friend'.

.:You seem to know me well enough:. she replied slowly, her obsidian eyes searching the azure gaze of the other.

.:But I must admit that I have no recollection of us meeting. Your voice and appearance fail to illuminate me, perhaps you could provide a name?:.

She did not mean to sound harsh, but such was her way. Years of seclusion had left her blunt and outspoken, but she had never been one to hide behind pretty words and subtle insinuations. Perhaps she could be characterized as 'frigid' or 'unyielding'. However, those adjectives only applied to the external shell she assumed for those she was not acquainted with. Elven did not waste warmth on those who would not value it.

.:.Daughter of Time.:.

Hoping that the name meant something good, she stopped, waiting. She would not invoke any further speech just yet. She knew the parents of this other, and so through them, knew her.

(sorry for shortness, my battery is dying!)
