why would anyone want to revote this contract? besides looking foolish and not to bright i cant think of a reason. common every day math 3.5-1.5=2% 4.0-1.5=2.5 % 3.0-1.5=1.5% for a grand total of 6% over 37 months. the SSSA pays less than 1% for health benefits & they avg. about 10,000.00 a year more .i would rather see the 170 structure maint back in their proper positions than gain an extra holiday . how can Roger TOUSSIANT expect people to understand what their voting on if nothing is spelled out clearly. even though i am retired due to an accident i try to keep up with whats going on. not that the union has tried to help me along the way . i have been out for almost 3 years now. i have tried to join the retirees assoc. but no one gets back to me. from reading the papers it sounds like local 100 is gone to the dogs. sounds like a real big promblem is to many paychecks on the ex bd. there should only be 7 otherwise those being paid by the local will do as the boss says or their out. those people are supposed to be representing the people in their divisions and doing so with a clear head. so many promises were made when Roger first ran for office,the biggest was i will never be like my predessors ,there will be no favoritetism or nepotism these words i heard while i was chief steward west 4th. nights structure.@ex.bd. mem. the membership voted the contract down stay the vote go back to the table otherwise the strike was in vain.@ an embarrasment to every local 100 member. i dont miss the t.a. but i do miss the action at the hall. hang in their everyone,stay tuff but smart. p.s. forgive my typing i am not to good with one eye .my regards to everyone .
