LOL. I am SO happy to hear that you did a soap block today.

The only reason why I watched Passions today was to see the tribute to Timmy and I almost cried. As hokey as the plot was, it was too damn touching NOT to notice. And how Timmy reminded Tabitha that if he killed Charity, he would be killing Timmy's heart. I kept saying, "AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW." To be honest, Evans's death hurt me because I grew to hate the overuse of the Timmy Character and wanted him and the character of Tabitha to die to help refocus the show of Passions. But, other than Evans's scenes, everything else was pure garbage, as always.

CC, you should have watched Port Charles during the Karen Harris era. I wouldn't trade The Year 2000 of Port Charles for everything. It was riveting, witty, funny and great to watch. Not to mention how GH and PC kept up with the coninuity(I remember the Nurses Strike storyline that was heavily featured on PC and mentioned on GH as well). Stuart Damon was a FREQUENT visitor of PC, and probably had more scenes on PC than GH! I YEARN for that type of storytelling! That type of show where EVERYTHING makes sense. Thank goodness I still have my tapes to prove it. I totally agree with you CC. Put a couple of bullets in it.....Port Charles is done.

Give Guiding Light a chance, CC. The pace is slow and the story is too traditional, but Guiding Light going against the grain proves Paul Rauch has guts. I'm not sure if he is sabotagging the show by alienating the audience he has built over the years he has been there, but the dialogue the characters engage in is very Ryan's Hope. I hope this show sticks around for generations to come, for the next future soap fans to watch(I doubt it will be).

But I agree with you, Bold and the Beautiful is *THE* best soap opera on the air. Probably because it is a half hour. I was reading Digest Last week and saw that Mick Cain(CJ) is "ready" for the show to be expanded to an hour. WHAAAAT? WHY? Part of the reason why B&B's half hour format is so successful is that it keeps you wanting MORE! Most hourlong shows are so drawn out that they keep a viewer's brain drained after they finish it. And I think it's ridiculous to assume that B&B could surpass Y&R if they were an hour show. Heck, B&B could PASS Y&R as a half hour show. They're pretty darn close to doing it anyway. 5.0 compared to a 3.8? All Brad Bell would need is to build his audience up in the next couple of years and he could very well surpass his daddy's show.
