Lucy Johnson is about to leave her position as Head of CBS Daytime.

IF this is true.....

Either 2 things will happen.....

They'll get someone like ABC's Prez Brian Frons who will try to fix the exisiting shows., no matter how obvious those shows are DEAD

OR

They'll get a pragmatic who will start getting rid of the dead weight at CBS Daytime.

Lucky for the new CBS chief, they are still a strong line-up with PRICE and the top-rated Y&R and B&B. Although the two P&G dinosaurs are another story! If I was in charge I would offer P&G an hour to air only one of their existing shows or preferably 1/2 hour versions of ATWT and GL. The extra hour would be used to launch a new TRADITIONAL soap, maybe even 2 new 1/2 hour soaps! The most negative effect of the hour format has been the lack of choices the viewer has been given. Lack of choices, results in lack of competition, resulting in decreasing quality!
