Wasn't GH a show about mobsters before JFP came along and hired her buddy actors?

I wouldn't have a problem with Guza and Pratt if they would give their characters something to do besides worrying about Sonny and his mobster woes. I would love to see the Quartermaines fight over ELQ stock and Alan and Monica bickering with AJ and Skye.

I thought one thing JFP DID do right was pair AJ and Courtney. I though the actors had chemistry and it would have been fun to see Courtney groomed to be the next Monica.

Would love to see Scotty interact with Serena and his girlfriend, Bobbie. How much can one talk about Sonny Corinthos?

Now, like I've said before, I don't have a problem with the mob on General Hospital. But when it starts to infiltrate EVERY SINGLE storyline, it starts to get very old.

And this was happening back when Wendy Riche was EP. Could it have been network interference? Perhaps. Who knows?

I liked Guza's work on Sunset Beach. I thought it was a well crafted soap under his guidance. But I can't stand those damn mobsters on GH! LOL!
(And I grew out of the whole trasy stage a long time ago, even though Bold and the Beautiful is fun to watch).

My ideal soap would be a show that is well acted and written and sets iself apart from the pack.

And digressing slightly from the subject, am I the ONLY one that's happy Vanessa Marcil will be leaving GH, this possibly being her last time?!

I propose they do a Frankie on Brenda. Not quite as violent, but end this shadow of her former self already.
