Reagrding the awards...

I was disappointed that B&B didn't win best show. A PC wn, in my opinion would be such a HUGE slap in the face to Pash and Days...not that the nomination wasn't already.

What is with daytime love affair with Vanessa Marcil? I just don't get it one bit. I'm really very much against an actor getting a nomination for a short term stint...and did anyone truly believe it would be anything but short term? Robin Christopher was very deserving.

Guza...man, I had NO idea he looked and acted so gooney.

As much as I was happy for Maurice Benard, I was sad fo Doug Davidson. I wanted one of these two to finally win but it was a tough choice.

Yes, Flannery's speech was one of the best acceptance speeches I've heard of any awards show. Kinda disappointed that Eileen Davidson didn't win though.

Agreed on the screaming fans. That is so classless and obnoxious. Some people apparently need a life ;-) The ushers should kick out any of them that yell out during a speech like they were constantly doing. Apparently Benard didn't know he won right away because they were so loud.

Wow! I never knew Susan Lucci could sing like that! She was good! I'm shocked AMC hadn't made use of this talent.

I'm SO glad they didn't do those stupid internet vote awards like they did last year. That cheapens the validity of the real awards.

Overall a good show. It was very cool how they got former datimers into the picture. And anything without the Olson twins is definitely a good thing!!! The extra hour made a big difference.

Regarding the other comments...

Yes, the whole damn show does suck! Salem U....what a complete joke. It's so easy to see why Days has fallen harder than any other daytime show in HH ratings. If you want to appeal to that age demogrpahic at least make an attempt to be believeable. Rex showed up naked in an egg a year ago, couldn't even talk for the longest time and doesn't really have any past educational records and now suddenly he knows how to do DNA testing and make earthquake machines and is getting a degree. Riiiiight! The reality show rip-off was so dumb....though I only saw bits and pieces. Another sad attempt at cashing in on a trend. What national reality show would choose all the contestants from one place....and all people who knew each other? Salem U has no other viable females who are sophomores through seniors?? And just how did Phillip get out of the Marines to do this?

Yes, the end of the AMC Enchantment takeover story was pretty trite. I have to laugh whenever daytime tries to use stock takeovers as a plot device. Sorry it just doesn't happen that way in a solid company that has it's ducks in a row. Boards are stacked with tigh knit people who aren't going to just oust someone like Erica as easily as was shown. I could rant on and on about hiw daytime completely misses the ball on how corporations truly work. Now this dude who's after Maddie....just how dumb is he? Wouldn't it be a whole lot smarter for him to leave Pine Valley? Odds are a little girl wouldn't even remember his face after a few years anyway...plus there must be a statute of limitations on attempted murder. The longer the guy stayed in Pine Valley the more chances he had of being identified by varioius people. I really hate lame plot devices. Then there's Henry and Maggie. Yawwwwwwn!
