Been awhile since anyone has posted, so I'll break the ice. Bianca's rape, although controversial, is great storytelling so far, coming from McTavish. But she is working with RAINN, so maybe that's why the storyline is so well plotted. But everything else on AMC is terrible and fast forward worthy. I'm hoping that she makes everything else on AMC somewhat watchable again(hoping I am not asking too much). But I do feel that if I were writing the storyline, it would have came from a hate-crime angle with a couple of thugs being the criminals. It wouldn't necessarily have to culminate into a rape, but most definitely Bianca being scared and startled. But that is just my opinion.

On the other hand, I am definitely ranting about Days axing some of it's key players in a serial killer plot, INCLUDING Matt Ashford and James Reynolds. His writing off Jack Deveraux proves what online fans have been saying all along: that he HATES Jack/Matt. Wonder why? And James Reynolds, who has been a cornerstone of the show for many years(one of daytime's first black characters, been with the show on and off for several years) got his walking papers too!

I think it's key to write off characters, but it seems to me like this is VERY rash. Breaking one of the very key rules in the Marland "How Not to Wreck a Show" Handbook. He should have kept some players aboard for at least a few months to see which ones he could use and which ones he couldn't.

Abe has a brother in Jonah Carver, and I am sure Thyme Lewis isn't doing anything lately. He could have brought Jonah aboard and continued where he left off with the Lexie/Jonah daydreams thing years ago.

And how can he write off Matt Ashford/Jack Deveraux? They just got him back for crying out loud! And there was a lot of story left for him. They should have wrote off Jack/Jenn/Abby together. Because Jenn/Missy will be nothing without him. Remember Peter?

Although I admire Reilly's boldness, I feel like the deaths of these character won't have the lasting effects in Salem most fans desire.

WHat do you guys think?
