Sorry for not posting. This summer has been crazy!

I've been watching some of AMC and you're right, most of it is FF-worthy but I love Bianca and it killed me to see this happen to her. I suspect it's going to culminate into a whodunit murder mystery. Cambius has nowhere to go at this point other than six feet under. Can I just go on record that i HATE Juan Pablo! Yuck, yuck, yuck! The whole Fusion storyline is nasty!

Side note for AMC and Y&R....there are more than TWO cosmetics companies in the world and there is room for BOTH to succeed. Take note of Coke and Pepsi in the soft drink market.

As for Days, the rating had nowhere to go but up so I'm sure the press releases will be flying at the "success" of Reilly. I admire his knack for mechanics of what needs to happen to bring this show back to life however, if it turns into the same never-ending plots with horrid dialogue I think the viewers will leave. They will resolve the serial killer plotlines but that is all about cleaning house and nothing more. Reilly isn't creative enough to use the hand he's been dealt so he will start over. That's fine but it's sure starting to look like the desperation of AW in the 90's.

I do have to say that I think Y&R is at the top of it's game just now. It's truly been the best soap all summer. I'm enjoying every storyline for once. I'm loving the teens. They found a couple of good actresses for Colleen and Lilly and they are in believable stories for the characyers' ages. The mystery of Isabella is fasicnating me quite a bit. I'm thinking that the detective has the hots for Cricket but where have we seen this guy before? Sharon and Nikki are just awesome! The corporate war is heating up quite nicely and it's not predictable at all...though I think Victor is a complete fool. I'm glad that Billy and Mac are gone. They had NO chemistry at all and they were both WAY too goody-goody to be the least bit interesting. The scene where Kelly Kruger was "telling off" Jill was such a failure because Kelly Kruger is too timid to hold her own. Blah! Anyway, I was very skeptical of Katherine being Jill's mother but it's been playing out very nicely and should have a great payoff.

I have to even comment on the location stuff that Y&R did for the wedding and driving lessons. Wow! I'm sure they didn't film it in Wisconsin but it sure looked like ti could have been. They even used the correct license plates. Good job! Our local news had a feature on one of the long-time producers who used to live here in Madison so when they name drop places they are for real. Too bad the real Genoa City has NO tall buildings or fancy restaurants.

Finally, has anyone been watching Another World on Soapnet? It was nice to see the show back on the air and especially to see Douglass Watson again. My biggest beef is the choice they made about where, in the history of AW, to begin broadcasting. This particular period sucks if you ask me. If they weren't patient enough to use the great 70's when AW was like #2 then they should have gone back a bit further to show the whole story of Donna and Michael, Marley, etc. I hate this fake Donna! She's way too southern belle and not enough debutante.

OK, I've spewed out way too much. Mostly this is just a bunch of thoughts off the top of my head that I'm typing in a hurry. You won't see me for a few weeks beginning on the 13th because I'm off to Ireland and England but I'll be back for school starting just after labor day. Hope you have all had a great summer thus far and that it ends on a high note!
