Well it is true! NBC is # 1 in every daypart, but daytime!

>I won't completly shoot down the Reilly Era of Days.

Well his era is filled with myths. Many believe he
brought in huge ratings, but in fact they didn't go
up that much. It was all a facade! DAYS rose to # 2
not because it gained millions and millions of viewers.
but rather from the simple fact, shows like GH and AMC
lost viewers, causing DAYS to rise up in the Nielsen listings. This isn't a slam towards Reilly, because he
did bring in new viewers, but also he did lose some, just
ask other soaps, its hard enough to hold on to viewers, nevermind attract new ones. The success of the Reilly
Era was simply: Reilly was able maintain DAYS ratings,
and show some growth, something that didn't happen to
almost all the other soaps. Thats why he is considered
a great success, sad that something as simple as holding on to your exisiting audience is something thats hard to do.
Just shows you how pathetic this genre has become.

>If there is nothing else that can be changed, NBC should >scrap their entire soap lineup.

NBC has proven beyond a reasonable doubt, they are not interested in QUALITY SOAPS, it all started in 1996
when NBC passed on the chance to air Emmy winning Claire Labine's soap in favor of Sunset Beach. Its been all downhill since!

>I find it ludicrous how they can't pressure Passions into >increasing their household ratings.

They want the ratings, whether HH or demos, higher, and
they are pressuring them. Remember what we all read and
hear about in public is all NBC spin. Yes they are happy PSSN is doing much better than SUBE, but they are dissappointed PSSNS ratings arent much higher.
