NBC has made bad decisions regarding daytime
programming since the days of radio!

On January 25, 1937 one of the NBC Radio
networks premiered a 15 minute radio soap
opera titled "The Guiding Light". Some years
later, NBC sold one of their radio networks
to a new company called CBS, with the radio
network came "The Guiding Light". I don't know
if NBC had the choice to keep GL, I wouldn't be
surprised if an NBC exec said to himself, "these
soaps aren't worth airing, we're going to
air non-soap programming on NBC Daytime Radio".
And so they let CBS keep "The Guiding Light".
With every idiotic move NBC has done, I wouldn't
at all be surprised if thats what happened!
