Here we go again.....
Another week and yet another record low rating

#2 The Bold and the Beautiful (CBS)- 3.7/14 (-.1) *tie for all-time low*
#3 Days of Our Lives (NBC)- 3.6/13 (+.1)
#4 As the World Turns (CBS)- 3.2/12 (same)
#4 General Hospital (ABC)- 3.2/11 (+.1)
#6 One Life to Live (ABC)- 3.1/12 (same)
#7 All My Children (ABC)- 3.0/11 (-.2) *tie for all-time low*
#8 Guiding Light (CBS)- 2.8/10 (same)
#9 Passions (NBC)- 2.0/8 (same)
#10 Port Charles (ABC)- 1.7/7 (-.1)

Y&R has dropped a 1/2 point within a period of one month!
I'm really not surprised since Y&Rs quality has gone
to hell in recent years. I saw absolute no reason why
Y&R was so much higher rated than its competition since
there really wasn't anything spectaular about Y&R.

Since Y&Rs audience is, how do I say this, a more mature
audience? maybe their audience is dying out. I say that with much respect for the senior citizen soap audience, no disrespect is intended, I'm simply curious as to Y&Rs
big slide downward in recent years. A friend of mine works
in the biz once asked Agnes Nixon why she thought
Y&R was # 1, and she responded something to effect of
"because their audience (Y&Rs) is too damned old to
change the remote!" LOL
