The second half of the section titled "Springfield Cleaning" by Michael Logan in the 4-27 TV Guide says.....

"But just as GL gets it's act together, there is trouble at it's sister soap, CBS's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Word is, the show's miracle-working head writer, Hogan Sheffer-recipient of an eight-page valentine in the New Yorker(which writes about soap people, like, never)-has recieved a very tasty offer from ABC Daytime, which desperately needs his help. Yep, these days Sheffer is Da Man, and we hear ATWT is prepared to fight for him."

Hmmm... this is interesting. What deal was Sheffer offered? A new soap with a good time slot? A lucrative job offer to write for All My Children?(Seems like One Life to Live and General Hospital won't need his help: Guza's back on GH and OLTL's Tomlin is winning praise as he gets the show back ont he right track.)

There was buzz about ABC wanting to revamp their lineup. What if ABC plans on having four hour long soaps with All My Children airing opposite Y&R followed by One Life to Live, General Hospital and The New Soap, which would air on the East Coast afterschool to appeal to kiddies my age?(And we all know how ABC is so youth friendly).

Anyone heard any gossip/rumors about this?
