"L&L is a more youth oriented soap(I can see the eyes rolling, CC)"
I have nothing against youth oriented soaps, its simply
a fact that they are a huge failure. Why bother again..
why not launch traditional soaps? At least they have
a much better success rate.
"Seeing as if the action would take place in one main setting"
Then there wouldn't be any "action". There is a reason
soaps avoid the once-used kitchen table scenes, the execs
are convinced people will turn to another channel. Sure
once in a while its used, when needed. But a soap that is
pure dialogue in one location? Those days are over.
Viewers love seeing the characters move from restaurant to
office to lover's house, back home to clueless spouse :)
Do you really want to watch a soap that just has people talking, in the same one or two locations all the time?
I don't think I would be interested in it, sure I'd be
curious at first, but long-term I am certain I'd be bored
with such a soap.
"it seems like this would be an interesting soap concept to revisit."
It sure would be interesting if they attempted it, and
SoapNet is the perfect home for such a project. Any
original series would be welcomed over their really, really, really old and stale line-up! Either get vintage
soaps: AW, SB, SFT.. Or new original programs and FAST!
Even SUBE reruns is preferable to their current programming! LOL
P.S. Even though I doubt the success of your concept
Trey-Trey, you must be applauded for you well thought-out
concept. Now if only the people in charge were filled with creative energy, who knows maybe a 15 min series will be a huge success, one thing is certain those dingbats in charge sure need to spend more creative time, instead of doing whatever the hell they do, since the genre is going down fast and no one seems to have the answers, or have the desire to do something creative! Its at times like this when the genre MUST take creative chances or face total cancelation of all 10 soaps!
