And just think, you got caught up in DS during it's second worst storyline...at least from what I've seen. I pretty much watched it through the whole run on Sci-Fi last time. The storylines that take place in the Collins family past are much better...especially the one that just ended. I don't think I've ever seen revenge so sweet on daytime as it was in that storyline.

I guess it's hard to imagine what the standard was in 1968 to be able to make a comparison to today. I'm guessing that their special effects are on par with what Passions does today. The writing on DS is what make it so incredibly much better than Passions.

You're right about how this show would look today...definitely a shame. NBC tried a nighttime revival in the early 90's but it just didn't connect.
