My grandmother has been recently prescribed Neurontin for severe pain in her knees which the doctor has attributed to possible nerve damage caused by her rheumatoid arthritis or chemotherapy (her last treatment was March 03). She takes 300 mg in the morning and 300 mg in the evening. Initially, she got some relief when the drug was combined with high doses of Tylenol. After about 10 days she's not getting as much relief. She also experiences disorientation and nausea we think are side effects from the medication. She's 80 years old and on lots of other medicine (Diovan for high blood pressure, Celebrex for the arthritis among others). Are there others who have experienced side effects from Neurontin? Is the 600 mg a relatively low dosage for someone experiencing severe pain? Any suggestions based on your experiences?
