Donna..........I've been prescribed neurontin for severe neuropathy in my foot leg and back. I'm presently taking 1600 mg per day so i would say the 600 mg that your grandmother is taking is not alot despite her other meds. I'm also taking 20mg of hydromorphone per day and meds for high blood pressure. The one thing I have found with neurontin is that it only works for a week or two before your body requires a larger dose. My doc will not prescribe a higher dose for me although I do know a person can go as high as 2400 mg per day. My pharmacist has advised me that the extra dizziness and lightheadedness I'm experiencing is due to the increasing doses of neurontin........this drug seems not worth taking in my opinion since it's effects last such a short length of time and the side effects are so prounounced. Hope your grandmother feels better soon....Elaine
