I am a Vocational Counsellor in the rehabilitation sector and meet quite a few chronic pain sufferers (back/neck injuries, shoulder injuries, nerve pain, etc.) I recently found out that quite a few medical doctors in Toronto (and possibly in other parts of Canada) use hypnotherapy to help alleviate chronic pain. I spoke to one of these MD's and was told he has success with some patients and that his services were covered in Ontario by OHIP. I would like to get your opinion on this. Has any of you tried hypnotherapy in the past? How was it for you? I hope to get some feedback in the near future.
