Subject: Task 9

The Task-based learning approach was firstly developed by N Prabhu. It`s characterized by students being presented with tasks and/or problems to perform or solve, instead of being focused merely to language structure. Students have a task to perform and only after they have completed it, the teacher is able to discuss the language used in order to make corrections, give explanations and feedback to students`performance. According to Willis, the Task-based learning can be divided into three basic stages:
* Pre-Task: teacher gives explanation about vocabulary and task instructions.
* Task Cycle: students perform task; teacher observes performance.
* Language Focus: examination of the task and feedback to students.
