Task 13.

Create a good communication activity and describe it to your classmates. Say which type it is, according to Littlewood.


Amaze task (revised)

The purpose of this task is to make the students interact with each other, use their cognitive ablilities and find location by taking decision.
First of all, the teacher hand out two maze charts, one with the path to get out of the maze already marked, and another one to be discovered. So, in pairs or group of four, one student will receive the maze chart already done and the other one(s) will receive the one to be done
Task: the student(s) with the maze chart to be done must discover with the student with the chart done how get out of the maze. In other words, the students have to take decision in group or pairs about which paths to take by getting the identical position or paths of the student with the chart done.
Teacher: he/she is supposed to be the manager throughout the task in order to keep the discussion among the students
The pairs or group which finish the task first will be the winner and get a prize (this will be according to the teacher choice: it can be a chocolate, a pen , or even nothing).
The students are supposed to use sentences such as ‘let`s take the first/second/third turning on the left/right’; or ‘we have/should take that one; ‘Let’s go in this way/path ’, and so forth. This task will better fit in Littlewood’s activity ‘Discovering sequences and locations’.
