Genre-based approach, linked directly with the communicative approach, is concerned with the use of original texts in teaching and learning a language, showing the importante of the context in reading and understanding a text. It is based on specific uses of the language into particular contexts, foccusing on social conventions, the context it is using, the use language figures in the construction of messages, etc. The main foccus is on reading and writting, with clear goals and context well identified. It involves the interaction of participants in the use of language.
