Genre based approach is based in teaching language through the use of authentic texts. In the genre based approach gives emphasis on the development of vocabulary. Some examples can be given on how to teach genre and its generic structure such as the use of box diagrams. Its is important to show the parts of the texts in a schematic form. The focus of genre based approach is on the writing and reading abilities.
