Explain what a genre-based approach is.

Genre-based approach focuses on the original texts that represent genres; it provides a way to teach specially reading and writing activities. The texts selected have a specific area of content and specific purposes into the context in which they are produced for. By the analysis of texts students must to develop vocabulary and structures of a foreign language and to learn how to produce texts in the same genres. The main idea is to make students be able to use language in different contexts.
