The mare stands in the background observing quietly, sickened by this behavior. What world was this were horses dropped their loyalties as soon as someone new came along? Where blood and gore were praised and treated like a grand show? These thoughts do not cross her face, though, which remains impassive. She carefully does not show visible reaction to JP, but his actions repulsed her perhaps more than the others. Who was he to grudge his king a perfectly legitimate command? The stallion had wasted away in captivity long enough and was doing his captor little good; what difference did it make? Maybe it was time for change... A shudder ripples through her dun coat as she wonders what this could mean for her.
