Subject: Toledo Results

Last night's results:
1. Brett Maurer 85 + 87 = 172
2. Chance Roberts 86 + 82 = 168
3. Chance Roberts 79 + 81.5 = 160.5
4. Jordan Hupp 83 + 72 = 157

That was everyone who rode two. Chance Roberts was entered twice, as was Bump Postlewait (who failed to ride a bull). I believe Shane Rickly, John Leineweaver and Billy Robinson also got scores on one. Pretty good set of bulls and bull riders. Matt Werries couldn't get there due to the weather, as well as Ronnie Kitchens. Will try and get results posted after tonight as well and will try to make sure they're all correct.

Cody Sosebee was the funnyman, Racer Botkin & Donny Gay announced, I don't recall anyone else who was there other than Cole Sharp & Kelsey Saulsberry judged it.

Sorry if I mispelled anyone's name.

Billy Robinson was 85.5 + 86.5 to split first in the average. Jordan Hupp rode two bulls again, this time for 81 & 85.5 to split 3rd and 4th with Chance Roberts (who was winning 2nd & 3rd after friday night). They were the only guys to ride 2 bulls last night. Evan Rasch was 88 to win the long round and end up about 6th in the average but bucked off a trashy SOB in the short go.

Sorry is these results are not exact but I do know for a fact that Billy Robinson & John Leinweaver split the win with 172 apiece, Chance Roberts won 3rd (which I believe was split with Jordan Hupp). Chance also won 5th and Jordan won 6th. Even had the high score of the weekend, winning the long round and placing 7th in the average. Not sure who won 8th but I think it was Brett Maurer whom I had mistakenly listed as having won friday's perf. Hope you enjoyed the results.

In other news Jimmy Twedt was winning the Des Moines, IA Superbull after one round but I don't know where he ended up.

Other notable riders at Toledo included IPRA stars Shane Rickly *& Bump Postlewait. Matt Werries & Ronnie Kitchens weren't there due to weather issues.

The crowd in Toledo was really good and hopefully the event will happen again next year.

Cody Sosebee was the funnyman, I misspelled one of the judges names (Kelcy Salisbury) but I thought he and Cole Sharp did quite a good job. The pen of bulls was really nice. I think I need to get to riding a little better because there was lots of money to be made for a guy that could ride a little.

Bulls were provided by Mark Reed, Jerry Nelson, Derek Bevington and Redeye Rodeo Company, whom I'd never heard of but had pretty good bulls. Derek may have had the best overall set.

Bump Postlewait made a GREAT effort last night. He only marked a 61, which was right, but he hung upside down for better than 3 seconds to get the whistle and it ended up paying off at least a little bit.

The whole crew did a great job and the gatemen were extremely funny along with doing a good job pulling gates.

I will try and get y'all a good update from the next event I'm at. I love this being able to enter the same event twice and save travel costs.

Thanks for the update on Toledo. Glad to hear it was a good event especially since it was in my home state. Congrats to Billy Robinson & John Leinweaver for splitting the win.

I think Barney meant to write that Evan Rasch had the high score of the weekend and won the long round with his 88 point effort saturday night. The crowd was really good, and I enjoyed getting to be there. I just wish Mr. Rubble would spell my name right.
