First of all, please put T. Briscoe in place of W. Peterson for team SLG.

Wow.. What a Sunday at Worcester! That short go was almost like being at the Finals. I wouldn't have been surprised if they had given Travis a perfect score.. It was that good (as I hope you all have seen on TV). Really too bad that a few guys got banged up and may miss a couple of weeks. Of course the worst is Wiley. We knew that it wasn't good when he hit the ground. Mike White got his leg stepped on during the 3rd round and I was very surprised that he came back, and rode, during the short go. And Adriano had that fire in his eyes for the short go ride. It was nice to see vintage Adriano step up. There was not way that Buffalo Bob was going to get him off.

Overall the event was really good this year. No snowstorm (it waited until Sunday night!) which is rare. Friday had 24 guys ride. I think this new 'draft' system is working fairly well so far. The guys seem to like it also. Talked to a few of them and, of course if they are in the top, they were real excited to be able to match up with good bulls.

Went to the meet and greet a little late (just my luck, came down with a sinus infection which put me somewhat under the weather... I know... You're saying "Cowboy Up"!) and figured that Adriano would be mobbed and I wouldn't be able to get close to him. Actually got there with only a couple of people in front of us. We just wanted to tell him 'thank you' for all he's done and how much we've enjoyed watching him ride. As he's shaking my hand, he keep telling me that it's him who is thankfull for all the fans. There was a look in his eye that you could just see he is so sincere and knows that he will miss it all. What a great ambassador of the sport. Sure hope he stays involved.

And, to top off the weekend... I came home and watched my Giants win (regrets to any Cowboy fans out there)! So the cowboys I wanted to do good did, for the most part, and the Cowboys I didn't want to do well didn't. How much better can it get?

From the feel of it, I think this is going to be a really tight year with many, many riders having a chance to win it all at the Finals. I wouldn't be surprised if there were 6, 7 or 8 guys in serious contention in Nov.

Check the injury reports on the PBR website and keep your eyes on the draw for this weekend. Looks like a few subs may be in order.
